Hi, I also had my sleeve done on 8/6 I saw my doctor yesterday and only lost 7lbs I have 2 shakes a day and Water I also have broth, Jello & popsicles. I wonder if my body is in starvation mode. I hear you about the veggies. I have baby carrots in the fridge I want one!

I don’t see my doctor again until 9/5. I see my nutritionist 8/21 and I’m excited about that. On my home scale I’ve lost 13 pounds or so. TMI:Are you pooping okay? I poop everyday and I notice I drop weight when I get my protein in as scheduled.

Wait, you're starving? Actually eating solid food is the last thing I'd be interested in. I have to force myself to even drink water or broth..

I was sleeved 8/1. I started pureed on the 11th. Saw my surgeon yesterday. I told him in the Morning I scramble an egg with a tiny bit of cheese and then add 3 Small dinner spoons of Low fat cottage cheese . I eat half for Breakfast and then the other half at lunch. Throughout the day I'll have a few sugar free popsicles maybe one sugar free pudding and then in the evening if I'm hungry about 4 spoons of refried Beans. He told me I'm eating too much

I was sleeved 8/6 I’m down 24! This is exciting.
Depends on your surgeon's plan, some are ready for,it, some aren't. Your doctor probably tailors his advice to your need. A blanket Yes or No can't be given on here.

Is chocolate Protein Shake ok post op 6 days out?
I was given premier chocolate shake the day I woke up from surgery. It was okay for me but your nutritionist will know best.
  • 4 weeks later...

During liquid I ate:

Yogurt, blended soups, jello, sugar-free popsicles, Fairlife milk (has WAY more protein than regular milk and no lactose), chicken broth, sugar-free pudding

It's rough - but it's really a pretty short amount of time. I just graduated to Pureed diet and that transition is going slowly. My new tummy doesn't like some of the foods. I didn't digest pureed ground turkey well...at all.

It is definitely a lot of trial and error!

Best of luck to you!
