I need advise. I have a big concern. I had surgery a week ago and everyday I feel hungry, specially on the evenings. I am in full liquids stage. What happened with what I heard and read about not been hungry after the surgery?

There is no guarantee that you'll not feel hungry. No surgery promises that. A small percentage of folks end up not feeling hunger at all, but most do, just a different levels of intensity.

I started feeling hungry again at 4 days post op. A friend of mine didn’t experience hunger until 2 months post op. Everyone is different.

I’m 7 days post op and I THOUGHT I was feeling hunger but it’s definitely Head hunger kicking in- which I was told can feel very similar. Even after I drink Protein I still crave my old snack foods... but I realize that I don’t need them and that I just think that I do. The “hungry feeling” eventually goes away once I rationalize with myself.

Hello I understand. I'm a week post-op today sleeve surgery. If your doctor allowed pureed vegetables, cream Soups, grits creamy add a little chicken bouillon crumbles for flavoring or shrimp bouillon crumbles for flavoring. Dannon OikosTriple Zero vanilla Yogurt 15 grams of Protein zero added sugar 0 artificial sweeteners zero fat. Not a fan of artificial sweeteners but if I have to go with one Stevia is the best one on the market. sugar-free Jell-O and pudding have aspartame and all that stuff so much chemicals and crap that I've seen documentaries on so I try to do it with stevia only and that's hard too. I also drink tea, Orgain clean Protein Shakes their really good there 20 grams of Protein. Protein help my Hunger.

Hang in there best wishes to you

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
