I had surgery 7/24, drank smooth move tea with no results, finally had a dose of Milk Of Magnesia before bed last night and this morning 7/29 got great results with no straining.
My Dr office recommended MOM with prune juice but it worked for me without the juice.
I feel much better and relieved that all is working. Good luck.

Thanks for posting I got some Milk of magnesia today getting ready to take some. I think that's my major problem and the reason why it's hard to get fluids in.

Take 60mls right before you go to bed and drink a full glass of water. Hopefully you'll be able to poop tomorrow and feel better.

Trying to decide how soon to do the MOM. I had surgery 730am on 7/30, so I’m only on my first full day home...do you think around day 4 post-op makes most sense?

I'm going to take again tonight didn't move. Now it's been 7 days. Something must happen I'm beginning to move gas

If you haven't pooped in more than 3 days I'd surely take MOM or something to get things moving, Since my surgery 8 days ago I have made sure to go once a day. I don't want to get constipated and have to fight that battle. Good luck
