  1. I'm not quite 2 weeks post op and am already driving myself and my family crazy about the scale During my first week somewhow I lost 18 lbs which I think has set me up to be miserable because now I'm not losing any weight!! I want to buy a new scale!! WTH?!
  2. I'm drinking Smooth Move tea right now lol
  3. Yeah, I eat a ton of vegetables, tempah, tofu and fruits (well I did presurgery). It is definitely a challenge without any of the beans, etc. I had 3 weeks of starch free preop and that was interesting
  4. My nutritionist told me (as a Vegan) not to eat all of the beans and quineo that I used to eat, because of the starches and carbs did anyone else hear this message? I dont' want to have to eat meat to get my protein. I am a Vegan for a reason! I'd love to see recipes.
  5. Does anyone think we could have sugar free Popsicle like ice cream? Chocolate or other flavors now? I guess it would depend on the # of carbs...
  6. Love these suggestions!! I've been craving something "good" too
  7. Hi there! I'm just starting to feel "hungry" after 1 week post-op. I am adding unflavored protein powder to everything, yogurt, cottage cheese, soup, to get some protein in!
  8. How long are you on liquids post op? I ate popscicles, yogurt mixed with soy milk, creamed soups mixed with extra soy milk and put through a blender, snowballs (chopped ice) with sugar free syrup,
  9. I was sleeved on 7/24. Since first appointment I'm down 34 lbs. Since surgery last week, I'm down 18!!
  10. Hi everyone!! I'm one week out and doing great!! I can't believe the difference these past few days. It feels like all of a sudden my stomach started to work again and now I can drink much more than I was a few days ago!! I started on pureed today, which for me is cottage cheese consistency. I'm retraining myself that I need food to live, not live for food How is everyone else doing?? Thanks
  11. Hi all!! I'm 5 days post-op and feeling so much better!!! Good luck to all tomorrow! I could easily drink 100 oz prior to surgery..with the sleeve, I'm lucky to get in 20 oz...
  12. How much water/liquid did your dr. recommend when first out of surgery?
  13. I'm afraid to try Protein Shakes! LOL I don't want to feel sick I've been sticking to water and Popsicles so far, but it's really hard to get water in that I need.
  14. Surgery 7/24...how's everyone doing? Gas pains are no joke and it's hard to take all the meds/vitamins
  15. I'm enjoying his approach and am anxious to see if I an adapt some of his ways, such as the texture scale for eating.
  16. This is the is the information I was looking for...when it seems to good to be true, it probably is! I spent my first liquid day watching his videos back to back today. I gain a lot of new information, but it is not the same as I hear from my own doctor..
  17. Has anyone ever watched videos or information from Dr. Duc C. Vuong ? I have spent the last 2 hours watching his videos and it's very interesting!
  18. Good luck to you!!
  19. What about sugar free fruit preserves, like strawberry or raspberry?
  20. Hi there surgery twin!! Pre-op diet for me consist of 3 weeks with no starches and 2 days of clear liquids. Today is day #1 for me!
  21. How are you feeling?? Things go well?
  22. I always have issues with constipation post surgeries because of the pain meds they give. I decided to be proactive for this one and got a box of Ducalox ready to go when i get home. I'm also going to order Smooth Move tea.
  23. Tonight was my last night of "real food" (no starch though) for awhile I'm thinking. I had a Vegan Pizza on a cauliflower crust, as pizza is my favorite food and it met the criteria. Tomorrow starts 2 days of clear liquids for me and I'm hoping to get a lot of sleep after day 1 because I often get hangry lol. Tuesday is my surgery and from suggestions on this board, I have Biotine mouth spray and nausea disk ready to go, along with Lavender chapstick and a long phone charger. I'm wearing the same clothes out that I come in with and have an extra pair of comfy pj shorts to walk the halls in under my hospital gown...that's it. Everything else will come from the hospital.
  24. I don't plan on wearing a bra while I'm there lol If anyone sees me walking the day of my surgery, I'm apologizing for the view now lol
  25. I'm a vegan pre-surgery...it's been tough during the no starch time pre-surgery
