CONGRATULATIONS on making it through surgery . Now the real journey begins. Stay focused. Do your walking every two hours but also remember to get rest so that you heal properly.

And it will trust me. I am 8 days out. By my 3rd day home I was trying to speed the process lol but you have to keep reminding yourself to take baby steps. You want proper healing not rush the healing to only have complications down the road. We must remember this is no short cut this is lifestyle change[emoji6]

Anyone post op having a hard time finding satisfying soft food to eat. I think my taste buds are dead. Nothing tastes like anything to me and I’m a daughter of a great professional chef. I have head people say your taste buds change after surgery but I didn’t expect to not want to eat anything.
@Diane60 I haven’t tried it but this lady on YouTube has this baked ricotta recipe that looks good. I plan on trying it. https://youtu.be/99RnBb-zX0U
Ugh. Idk what just happened but I started dry heaving (hard to throw up when nothings in there) ??? almost 2 weeks post op

And I hope things are going well for both of you. Who is going to get released first, you or hubby? Think if you both take things slow and easy, may be a b rough week or week and a half, but by a week or 2 into September you both will be feeling better. Anyway, just thinking of you both today.?&?

Thanks! We were both released about the same time. He didn't know about the gas pains so as he was walking to the car a bubble got him good so he went right back to the ER. He didn't bother telling me so I was a little freaked out for a bit. Thankfully a friend brought me home.

My sister and another friend have been helping take care of our fur kids.

He's already back at work.

I made it through got home yesterday surgery was the 29 th and I’m ok other than needing a good bm. On the second dose of MiraLAX so getting my liquids and protein in and fell full constantly. Good luck everyone who had there surgery in August and we welcome September members on the losers bench

@clsumrall my surgery was the 23rd and I didn't have a bm until yesterday. I was freaking out. My poor nurse heard from me daily. She had me drinking Mirilax and using glycerin suppositories and even an enema. I was terrified of what the first one would be like. Thankfully it was easy and I've been going easily since. Hope yours is just as easy.

I have quite a lot of blue dye in my hair (Im blonde) from the leak test. Does this dye fade? Ive washed my hair and it ain’t going?

Its all underneath my hair, if I tie my hair back its all blue. Im not planning to go anywhere soon, so Im not bothered. Im sure it will fade, but 2 washes so far and nothing ?

Get a shampoo that has clairifying. on its label, that's whatbi was told the time I decided to enhance my strawberry blonde hair, with a rinse and,it came out Traffic cone ORANGE, if I were 17, young and kicky, I might have been able to carry b the look off, but a lady of mature years PITIFULLY SAD.
A friend who,is even cheaper than me says Dawn Dish liquid. I figure you might have to,use a,moisturizer, that stuff does strip grease and oil. But,it helped theduckies and other animals ????after the Alaskan Oil Spill!
