  1. I don’t know what that hasn’t crossed my mind. I’m going to give that a try right now! I’m pretty desperate at this point. I feel great except for the pain on my side where the largest incision is.
  2. I had VSG on August 30th everything went well, no complications. I was sent home the next day. I have been doing everything I was told to do, walk, exercise lungs, clear liquids the first 2 days the after you can have pudding popsicles etc. Now it’s been 5 days since the surgery but I’m still having a hard time. I’m still in pain, a lot of pain Only in the place where all the action happened though. It hurts to breathe, cough, sneeze, laugh, or even move. It hurts when sitting up or if I try to stand straight up. I don’t know why but I feel like I should be feeling better even if it’s just the tiniest bit. I don’t feel sick or have a fever it’s just the pain and it’s not gas pains. I feel like I shouldn’t be feeling the same amount of pain as the first day I came home. If there’s Anyone that’s farther along in their journey with any insight please comment. Let me know if anyone else felt the same way and what helped the healing along. I’m willing to take any suggestions at this point.
  3. My surgery was on the 30th and I’m starting to feel like myself again I can’t wait till I’m fully back!
  4. I hope the other 30th people lots of luck
  5. I’m here and more nervous than ever
  6. I’m starting to get nervous! Only 2 more sleeps.
  7. I remember the feeling of the gas from my hysterectomy I felt extra bloated uncomfortable and a hard time taking a deep breath also my shoulders and the bottom of my neck was soooo sore that’s was the worst. Not looking forward to that but I will come out the other end a stronger, healthier and happier person.
  8. My surgery is exactly a week from yours I know it's asking a lot but that would really be great if you could update me. That's why I love this forum everyone one here is awesome and everyone has your back. Much appreciated!
  9. And thanks to everyone's responses I would much rather be prepared than surprised ?
  10. What the hell?! So why couldn't you breath when you woke up the first time? And how and why would they put you back under!?
  11. So I’m not sure if anyone can really help me with this question cause I know everyone is different and I’m a baby. But I keep hearing people saying the were in excruciating pain waking up after surgery. I had a hysterectomy and they went in lap so my abdomen was blown up as well. When I woke up from that I was ok I mean it hurt but not as bad is making it out to be and that worries me. As for the gas pain I do remember that just being uncomfortable but nothing crazy. I just would like to know so u can try my best to prepare myself.
  12. @ZeroCool I'm sorry to hear your having such a difficult time. I know it's probably hard with all the pain but try to stay positive and have faith in the medical team, I'm sure they will work out the problem. We are all here for you so hang in there, it will all be worth it at the end.
  13. I only need to do liquids day before surgery. I’m sure a week is going to to be very trying. Just know we are here to have your back if u need a pick me up??
  14. That is awesome ?? I have been having a hard time. I feel like I’m starving and my head hurts I’m sure it’s the lack of sugar and caffeine. I just keep reminding myself that it’s going to be well worth it in the end! I also took “before” pictures, so I keep looking at those every time I need a boost their all the motivation I need. That was my slap in the face to finally really realize I’m doing the right thing.
  15. @pink18 @nurse t How is the dieting going?

  20. I’m getting ready to start my new life I just need a little help. What is you favorite, best tasting Protein shakes. I would love to hear it from you guys who have already started your journey. Also congrats to all and thanks for the help.
  21. That is cute idea. I have a small family and like 3 true friends lol or else I would so be doing that.
  22. I getting pumped! I start my pre op diet next week and I see/heat that people having food funerals before they start. I’m not sure about this really. I feel that The term “food funeral” puts a negative outlook on the future you have with your weight loss surgery tool but at the same time I might not get the chance to eat the things I think I love after my life style change. All I know is that I have this last week to try new things I would never try and give new foods a chance before turning my nose. I’m taking this time not only to start letting go but also to find new healthy foods to love. ? I would love some help doing this, let me know what you guys like, I need to find a good protein shake and any other recommendation you have for the pre op diet and for the first 2 stages post op.
  23. I'm making this myself and i didnt print out anything yet as I still have a little more time before I start my new life style, so I can make changes. Thank you so much for the feedback this is exactly why i posted.
  24. I’m one of those people who like order, I know I want to document my journey I just want some ideas. Rn I have a pre surgery binder with everything that I’ve been through so far but I’m looking for ideas for after the surgery. This is some stuff I have so far.
