Built In Early Warning System!

Since my surgery I’ve had a built in alarm that tells me when to stop eating at meal times. I weigh/measure my portions & track my food but when I’ve had just enough to eat I sneeze EVERY time. Great thing to have to keep from overdoing it or getting sick. I love it! Anyone else acquire this awesome built in alarm since having surgery?

Here’s tonight’s dinner. Rib-Eye Steak with Italian Style Veggies. I let out a sneeze with some still on the plate so I had to call it good but what I ate before that was good.

  • Look up the vagus nerve - that sucker branches out to most of the abdominal organs and helps control most of our involuntary functions including digestion and initial satiety from stomach stretch. It

  • So the vagus nerve isn't really that vague? Guess I'm in a punny mood.?

I get the hiccups! Just a few but it’s a neat warning :)

Seems to be a lot of people with these things happening but I’m happy with sneezing.

So weird that I haven’t had hiccups since my surgery.

I’ll take sneezes over runny nose any day but either we still need a Kleenex.

I had a hiatal hernia fixed during surgery and I hiccup when I'm full. I like my built in alarm also. Helps to not over do it

Ain’t it great!

I start to burp or hiccup

Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal App

Sure enough, I will burp.

Min will be a burpy-hiccup, the only way I know to describe it. One mote, bitecand I lose everything, it has been presurgical. no reason to feel my body will change now.?

Yep, I get one or two of all three of them. Mainly runny nose and hiccups.

When I'm full, I get the hiccups! However, my brother nose runs as well.

My nose runs when I am full. I've had the hiccups, but not every time.

I was told that these signs are common and could be as subtle as a sigh. I used to have the sigh when I had my Lap Band. It would turn into a runny nose if I ate beyond the sigh. With the sleeve it's a very runny nose to the point I have to put my fork down and grab a tissue!

I do that as well but it has nothing to do with being full. ?
