Too funny! Its amazing how all I could think about was what I wanted to eat during the pre op phase! Hang in there girl, you're halfway there!

I wanted to lick the Lasagna spatula when I was fixing Tomkittens dinner. True confession, grabbed a Protein Shake, sat down and whimpered. Only bright light ahead, OSU doesn't keep kangaroos on a liquid diet as long as sleevers, once they are certain you understand to chew down to a thick applesauce consistency, you go moving --on😝

Hope you don't get so hungry[emoji275] and, nervous you start howling[emoji190] at the [emoji287]moon![emoji14]

Howling at the moon would be nothing new for me [emoji23] But so far I’m still excited and not nervous. I’m sure the night before I’ll be panicking out though. At my pre-op testing the nurse told me “make sure you get 8 hours of sleep before your surgery!” I just looked at her. And then we both laughed.
I’m just hoping for no complications, no staple line leaks and that I only have to stay the one night as planned. If the WLS gods could throw in only slight nausea, I’ll be pleased as punch!

How can we make a support group happen? Truthfully, I’m on Facebook more than here— can we start a secret group where we can check in on each other? Anyone up for it? If so, I’d be happy to look into it.

Also, the head cravings are still so real. I took my DD to a birthday party today and the smell of pizza almost pushed me over the edge (and I’m not even a huge pizza person). But I just kept drinking my Protein Water and pushed through. Is it too early to have NSV?? 😂😂😂

I deactivated my Facebook for a bit but I do have an IG account for WLS account only if you or anyone else is interested. You can find me at just2bhappy166

On another note, you mentioned pizza. Well, let me share with you how I took my son with me to the mall and he wanted pizza. I sat across from him with nothing while he was eating his pizza and a garlic breadstick. It smelled soooooooooooo good lol.

By the way, yesterday night I caved in from my preop diet and have a hamburger. No bun, no Condiments but it was still out of the "what you can eat list." i decided to start fresh again and not beat myself up over it. Oh and I ate 3 triscuit crackers too. I was craving the crunch and the salt. However, compared to what I would normally eat, that wasn't bad. Today is Day 7 and I am focused.

I deactivated all my social media.. my IG I stopped using after gaining massive weight and Snapchat is what I obsessively use but haven’t been on it in a month because I want privacy and to focus during all of this and knowing me I’ll snap my shakes and Vitamins and it’ll be a dead giveaway.

You’ll do great! The staff there at the hospital was great and there was a cna who called herself “sunshine” that came in singing. I didn’t have to ask for anything for nausea or pain... they were already given scheduled Tylenol. Don’t forget to walk it’s great for gas pain. The thing about smaller hospitals is it just seems so much more personable.

I have several protein shakes but my go to is the premier... since surgery I’ve been mixing get the Carmel with some coffee and sip on it until gone ....that’s half my protein for the day down . I’m usually done by 10 am. I made protein pudding from the premier as well so it helps me get the rest of my protein in as well. My calories are about 600 and I need to get them to goal of around 800. I had trouble with the taste of some of the Proteins I bought before surgery now... I think my tastes have changed a bit

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
