I hate it when people post just to post.....

....like when clearly the post has no relevance or adds no value to the OP's question or concern.

Like this:

OP Question: I am having trouble finding a good fish recipe I like...can anyone help?

Response: I hate fish! Fish makes me gag!

Can someone explain the purpose of this? I mean, if you don't like fish, then why dont you just move on to the next thread? Who really cares what makes you gag or not gag???? I know I don't.

  • well, i respectfully disagree. I don't think its acceptable to do it. I strongly dont think that its ok to do it, and i do not think that someone who's doctor didnt tell them about PB's who comes here

Just posting to say that reflux-induced insomnia just freaking sucks.

I totally agree. I want to know what causes that. I am not tight. I can eat anything I want and I don't have to chew like I used to.

I was happy Alex added that too. I don't feel like enough of a success story to post in there. I need to stop eating ice cream!

Ice cream, pssshhh.. :lovechoc:

I need to fix my post and say HOW I did it. The pm's are outta control....lol...

ha! Everyone ignored my post about meeting a LBT'r so I'm pouting!

Let me get banded and I'll stalk you like a crazy woman; how's that!?! I'll tell you how I've eaten a big o'steak the night after I get out of the hospital!

Only if you add 2 loaves of bread with it!

What post? I must go back and read. I am pouting cuz I am bored and sleepy..... :lovechoc:

Oh and posting to post that I got my hair cut on my day off today. It was basically all one length, 3-4" past my shoulders. The length is still there but she cut in some layers. Lots less boring! (Alas, not blue tho - I work in a conservative establishment.)

Posting to post that I met my very first LBT'r today! Bimbabe and I knew that we were going to be at our surgeon's around the same time. I was being a stalker and asked another lady if she was on here. Neither she nor another lady in the waiting room had heard of LBT but were very excited to know about it. Do I get a toaster for bringing in 2 new folks? :-) Oh and I told my hairdresser about LBT. She has a friend thinking about WLS.

Bimbabe and I are very excited about our upcoming surgeries. Our surgeon has moved 100% to the Realize band; I don't know if I have an opinion about that or not. Hopefully she and I can hold each other accountable in the future. We should hear Wednesday about our pre-op and surgery dates. Yippee skippy!!! :lovechoc:

PS - The upper GI wasn't as bad as I had thought. Having said that, I'm not offering to do one for fun next week, mind you. She had me rolling around on that table like a fat, flopping fish. She said, "yea, we call this table aerobics." I said, "if I did aerobics, I wouldn't be fat!" :P

Well I am so sorry I missed this. Thank you for bringing friends to LBT. :scared2:

Glad you made an accountability buddy!

Aww thanks! I love this place and want to tell everyone about it!

Ugh and btw, I've gained more fricken weight since my last surgeon appt! GAH

Ah sh*t. SO sorry to hear that. But once you get the band you can kick it to the curb.

Thanks! Oh, interesting doctor info - we do 2 days of liquids before the surgery and that's all. Also he doesn't think that soda makes the band slip. I still think I'm going to forgo even tho I'm an addict. We do liquids 3 weeks afterward so I should definitely lose some weight then!

So. I finish my 6 month diet for insurance on October 3rd. Paperwork gets sent in October 6th. :lovechoc: YAYAYAYAYAYAY :P But yeah still a few more tests to go Preop in middle to end of october. Surgery in November. :scared2:

I gained right up until my pre-op liquid diet. My doctor usually does a 3 day diet but he made me do 5 days to make sure I lost a few pounds before surgery.

AHH - the first cup of coffee on a Saturday morning! House is quiet, street is remarkably (unusually) quiet, and the madness of cram-everything-into-the-weekend-because-it-is-your-only-time-off has yet to begin.

I am glad I quit. I am so much happier without a soda all the time. :lovechoc:
