Plastics or no plastics ?

I'm curious what people's views are on having plastic surgery. And if you plan on having it .. at what stage will you have it ?

For me.. initially I thought I'd never have plastics surgery and neither did I think I'd ever have weightloss surgery lol but here we are hah so I'm open minded. Now I'm only 4 months in. And I've lost 58lbs. I didn't expect to be as saggy as I am as when I lost 50 lbs in the same amount of time I didn't sag but oddly I've lost more inches this time round. So I think when I get to my goal weight my tummy will not be so great so now I'm contemplating a tummy tuck at goal.i can cope with my boobs looking like someone removed some socks out of a stuffed sock so it's just deflated.. lol

Curious to hear from those who have had it too. And at what stage in their journey they had it.

I can't afford plastics. I'm also an old fart (49) and never expected to be a bikini model after surgery. The only people that have to see me naked is me, my hubby and the occasional Dr. Started at 25

If you can afford it, totally plastics! I am thrilled with mine!

I lost 135 and got a tummy tuck, my bat wings fixed and my boobs lifted and refilled. I never dreamed I would need implants. I started at like a 42J so I thought a reduction was in order. Nope, needed small implants to fill it back up.

I started this process with size 52L bra's and I have dropped several back sizes but the L cup is still there and doesn't look like going anywhere yet. I have dropped about 94 pounds and still have a long way to go. I hope when I can get my boob reduction that I don't have to have implants, I think that would devastate me. I have had enough lugging these puppies around and them being the first thing everyone bumps into. Whoever mentioned rolling their boobs up has it right, I practically concertina them into my bra now lol

I don't know how they managed it, but the amazing insurance negotiator at my bariatric surgeon's office submitted my case for bat wings, man boobs, thigh lift, and pannulectomy (tummy flap).

It was all approved on the first attempt, even though my insurance plan specifically excludes skin removal surgery resulting from massive weight loss.

So, for those of you who want things cleaned up and can't afford it, get a pro to submit your case and see where it goes. You might get lucky!

If you're curious:

For surgery #1, I paid out of pocket for a part of my tummy tuck instead of the approved pannulectomy, along with my arms & chest which were covered. I had incisions from each elbow down my armpit and across my chest, and 180 degrees around my waist.

For surgery #2, I paid out of pocket for some lipo on my chest and scar revision on my waist to make things more symmetrical while I was under for my thigh lift. I had incisions from each ankle up the inside of my thigh then curving out to meet my waist line.

I am only a few months post-VSG, but I can already tell I'm going to need skin removal. I'll probably look into a tummy tuck, getting the batwings removed, and possibly getting a breast lift/implants. I might need a lower body lift, too, but it's probably going to come down to cost, and I'll end up doing just a couple of the procedures.

Oh you should see me naked. LOL Like I said I look like a melting candle from my back. Like I said my PS removed 0#'s plus. The only way I got the Panni done is because it was medically needed. But I wish I had paid the extra for a tummy tuck. Oh Well, we all just do what we have to do, THANK GOODNESS my clothes covers up most of it. I even tried that high waisted spandex but all I could think of was getting home to get the DANG thing off. I had the hardest time finding bras that held me, I did find some called SHAPEEZ they cover some of the fat on my arms and down my back so I don't have bumps that look awful. They were expensive but I feel like they are worth it. In the end, we are just our own worst critics. 10Plus#'s

10#'s I'm sorry abot that. lol

Guys lose a few pounds and find 4inches of extra penis surprise.

Women lose a few pounds and get hanging boobages and baggy saggy lady bits DT. *smacks head and sighs in discontent*

Miz Fluffy, I just read your post!! Cracked me up. So TRUE Life sure isn't fair for us WOMEN!!!

I can't afford plastics. I'm also an old fart (49) and never expected to be a bikini model after surgery. The only people that have to see me naked is me, my hubby and the occasional Dr. Started at 254 I'm 137 this morning. The loose skin I can tuck away with shape wear. A good bra does wonders.
Reality the skin on my mid section hangs below the top creases of my legs. Bat wings, My butt and my back, my inner thighs. The only reason you can't see it in the photos is shapewear and clothing to hide it.
Weightlifting is filling the skin out a bit. But it will never be gone unless I have plastics.
Im three years out. I think I can live with it.

I’m sitting here in the hospital two days post an upper body lift and would say to anyone if you are considerin it and can afford it go for it 100% I’m up and about with minimal pain and am going home tomorrow. One piece of advice I will offer is to get as fit as you can before the surgery I’m sure it has helped with my progress post op ?

@jenn1 Hey girl, one question please? Did you every have baggy saggy thighs before you started your workouts and running? Dear God, I would feel Christmas came early for me if I ended up with legs like yours! *no pervynous here btw* :D

I actually still have sag/drape in my inner thighs. My hubby calls them my muscle chicken legs. He's pervy for the saggy chicx..lol

Yes, and I am my surgery next Monday, December 11th. I'll be undergoing Panniculectomy with Add-On Abdominoplasty as well as the Gynecomastia. Nervous to say the least.

Thinking about you today! Rest up and heal...

bahahahahaaha! Nice! I will settle for Mr. Fluffy not needing to don a sleep mask when I unleash the thighs of death. :D ;) So in your running shorts piccy, you don't see any wiggle in the jiggle? Where's the chicken skin girl? I know you're younger and healthier than me, but to know you can go from saggy baggy elephant to tight-er legs maybe makes me want to let my heart go on--for at least one more day. :D

I sent you a photo..You can se the thigh sag when the camera is closer...lol My loose skin is livable. It didn't go away or magically or tighten up. It's hidden well with shapewear and clothing. The muscle fills it out a bit...

If I could afford plastics....I would get my tummy done

Thank you. I am less than 48 hours post-op and feeling pretty well. Dr said he removed about 10lbs of excess skin. I went yesterday morning for my first follow-up and bandage replacement . It was crazy looking down and seeing a flat belly. The majority of the discomfort is from the Abdominoplasty.
