Any tips?

I had my surgery on the 22nd of June. I've lost a good amount of weight but I still would like to lose more. I haven't been drinking my protein like I should be. Do any sleeve vets have any ideas on how to kick start some more weight loss? If I start drinking my protein shakes/water to get 60 oz a day, will that help get me going again?

  • Got it. I'll get back on track with my protein. I don't think I would get my 60+ grams in food alone, so I am trying to drink some in protein waters.

Our nutrition postop is about meeting goals.

-60+g of protein (or your doc's recommendation)

-64+oz of fluids

-Taking your vitamins

-Keeping your calories counted and controlled..

-Exercise (unless contraindicated)

These are all forever.

But, real food is better than "fake" food, so don't use shakes unless you have to.

Chances are, you're just in a stall unless the scale doesn't move for a month and your measurements don't change.

How much have you lost?

Congratulations on your weight loss so far! You didn't mention exercise. Are you doing any? That's one way to get things moving. Good luck!

45 ish. But I was only about 200 when I had the surgery.

Gosh, 200 is my ultimate goal :)
