Protein and Gas

Hello everyone

I was wondering if anyone has had issues with protein causing gas and discomfort. I have been pretty strict in following doctors directions....and I have been eating only protein shakes and they have been contributing to the gassy feeling which is very uncomfortable. Anyone else been experiencing this?

Any comments or suggestions?

Yes, I think I experienced dumping syndrome today because of it. How many weeks out are you? I'm 5 days out, and I may have done it too soon. So,I won't be drinking my protein shake anymore for another week or so

I had similar problems early on so I switched to a GNC Isopure powder. The other powders were too thick. I mix this with a lactose free skim and have no issues.

I too have the same issue. I only get gas when I drink a protein shake. I bought unflavored protein powder to make my own, but the taste is disgusting. So I brought Premier shakes and instantly I get gas and of course the worst place to get it is at work. So, I take my Gas-X to work with me and hope that this will one day go away.
