Getting banded on Wednesday, 10/17. +

I'm so nervous I could throw up.:faint:

I've been reading here for weeks now, and keep finding something new every day.

Insurance is paying (thank God) - 2 weeks off on medical leave @ work. They think it is a "female" surgery. Ugh...I hate to use that as an excuse but...I figure it is none of their business.

Only my sister, my mother, my daughter and her boyfriend know. Not even my best friends. I'll tell them later if I feel compelled to, but I'd like to wait until I see how I do and feel and so on.

I'm a relatively private person and don't want to be embarrassed at taking such a big leap only to have complications or be unsuccessful.

Not that I am negative btw, just cautious. I feel ready though. This forum is cool. Support like this is only with others like yourself I guess.

I'm in Pittsburgh. Dr. Courcoulas is the surgeon. Anyone know her? Of her? It is rumored that she is a rockin' doc.

I still have some questions for you experienced ones though. What is this "stuck" thing really all about? Eating too much? Too fast? Not chewed thoroughly enough? Or all of those?

Anyway...just putting it out there.

Good luck tmorrow - the beginning of your new thin, vbrant life! I go to surgery on Monday so I know how you feel. Saying a prayer;)

Good luck today... I wish I were you! I'll be in there soon, I'm still waiting to get a date. Ugh -- Insurance! Anyway, take good care of yourself and let us know how you are doing! :)

Good for you, hon. Go for it. I don't know anyone personally who isn't damn glad they made this decision. You'll do great. As far as the privacy issue goes, you're handling it exactly like I did. You'll know who you can trust with this very personal information and who you can't. Good luck and many, many blessings!
