Hello my fellow sleevers and future sleevers! I had my VSG on 06/01/2017 and today is 08/08/2017. I must say this was one of the greatest decisions that I have ever made. Besides adjusting to the pre-op diet for 17 days prior to surgery, and fighting that "gas monster" for 1 week post-op I must say that this has been an easy transition that I should have done years ago, but at least I am in my early forties so I have alot of time to enjoy life and my new me. Thus far I have lost 30+ pounds in total and that puts me only @ 26lbs until I meet my goal weight (which I may change depending on how I look and feel at 185)! Prior to surgery I watched numerous youtube videos of past VSG patients, and read 100's of comments and post on this site which supplied me with alot of positive info as well as answering many of my questions. As of today I feel & look fabulous and my only suggestion to future sleevers is to DO YOUR HOMEWORK on surgeons, diet pre & post, vitamins, do's & dont's, etc.
