I have bad arthritis in my knee, I walked for just a few minutes in the beginning and then after I got my strength back I got on our recumbent bike at home. Definitely easier for me than walking. But

i didnt walk as much as i should have, and i am ok. I probly have more gas pain as a result tho. opinion only...any movement is good, blood pumping and lungs working a bit move out

What are alternatives to walking after surgery?
I have peroneal tendonitis and am currently in a boot to restrict movement. I will force myself to walk at the hospital, but I won't be able to take walks on a regular basis. I do have a stationery recumbent bike. Would that be okay to use?
I'm going to talk to my surgeon on Tuesday but also wanted to get thoughts and suggestions here.
