Protein bars

Hi. I was just wondering when everyone started protein bars. I have been on soft meats for a week now, and sometimes I just feel like having a little something at lunch, not a "meal" or a bar for breakfast. I have been fine with eggs, chicken, beef, yogurt, cheese. I am starting with a new dietitian on Saturday.

Wow! 6 weeks. I guess I'm just going to have to force myself to eat. Hopefully it gets easier.

I don't eat protein bars. Too many carbs and too much sugar.

Try crunchy carrots or celery protein bars are loaded with sugar, carbs and are addicting.

Can you clarify "addicting"?

Sent from my phone. Please forgive brevity and spelling.

Never, don't start!

After 10 years post op, I use quest and one bars as a fast lunch or after work outs. I really depend on them a couple of times a week

I'm almost five weeks out and can have the softer ones. Atkins peanut butter is what I just having for breakfast. I can't eat another egg! Not for a long time! So "egged out"!

I saw my surgeon today, he said if I need a snack, he would rather see me eat fresh fruit. No bars or shakes.

Did he say why he said no to bars and shakes? I'm curious.
