Congrats! Tomorrow will be my two weeks. I'm doing well and feeling good. Going by my doctors scale. I am down 18 pound in all and 9 since surgery.

Yesterday was my 2 week anniversary. From the day I left hospital until now 14lbs, all of that was in the first 8or 9 days. Starting purees today and have my post-op appt with doctor. I'm going to contact my dietician for some guidance on how often I should be eating. Had some soft boiled egg with mustard this morning and it was amazing! I could only eat about 1/2.

Omg, boiled eggs sounds so good right now, I'm hoping I'll be cleared for that soon. I'm already so sick of shakes

Monday was my 2 week post op anniversary and I was down 9 pounds since day of surgery. Still feeling very weak and not able to walk much. I talked to the nutritionist today she said she thinks I'm not getting enough calories- she said to go for about 700. I've been averaging 485 or so but getting all my Protein. I'm so tired of not being strong enough to do anything but go to the grocery store.

I'm in the same boat. My NUT said to take it easy till cleared for more food and exercise. Let me know if upping you calories helps. It's very frustrating.

I met with my surgeon today. He is very satisfied with the results. I did not meet with the dietician today, (have an appt on 6/20) but his post-op nurse recommended purees like cottage cheese, eggs, chicken blended up with some low fat mayo or mustard to make it easier to go down. Since I won't be able to get in all the Protein from food yet they recommended staying on Protein Shakes in between meals. They said to exercise as much as I can tolerate. Surgeon did recommend not to force food, if I am having a hard time with a specific food he said to pull back and go to full liquids. He doesn't think forcing food and being in pain is worth it. Sometimes we just need more time to progress to the next stage. Hope that helps!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
