You all are really helping me. I'm a back slider. On March 21st, 2017 will mark one year since my surgery. I started eating bad after my sister passed away in September 2016. I've eaten sweets, carbs, sugary stuff, etc. I haven't gained weight but I'm afraid if I continue on this path, I will. I need to "reset" my sleeve as well. I promised myself I will start with a liquid diet for 2 weeks and then go to soft foods and then the Protein dense foods again to get me back on track. Do any of you think that this is wise? I need help!!!

I failed at going hardcore liquid but to each his own. Others have succeeded I've read in this thread and online other forums.

Simple enough but what worked for myself was just hitting protein again. After my usual coffee in the AM, I had an omelette with ham and it kept me satisfied until I did a half Protein Bar when I felt the sweet tooth then the other half of the protein bar later on. Finally I had some meat for dinner and a yogurt for dessert.

I was full all day and felt satisfied never got hungry. My stomach feels good this morning and I feel leaner, not as bloated as I had the previous days on slider foods.

It's only been one day but I'll keep you posted as things evolve.

"I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Jesus said cast all your cares up on him for he cares give your burdens to the Lord. You will see the strength and peace and comfort he will give you. I would just start over eating your Protein and your low carbs drinking your Water and walking and exercise you going to see how the pounds going to come off and you going to see how beautiful you going to look. I will be praying for you. Keep me posted God bless you!!!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
