I've lost about 45 pounds since I had my surgery Nov 7, 2016. I know ppl who had GB the same month as I and have lost weight between 60-80 pounds. I'm very careful and at most have 750 calories a day, and follow the doc's rules. I'm feeling pretty discouraged with my slow weight loss.

Dont be discouraged with your success. Youve lost 10 lbs a month for 4 momths...thats amazing. Remember there are many things that are taken into factor. I hopw when i get sleeved in the next month, ill be able to say ive lost 40 lbs in 4 months. My surgeon only expects me to lose 60 lbs in a year so if i did that, id be more than halfway to his goal with 8 months left to really kill it :)

Keep up the great work!

You're doing great! But I'd suggest eating more that's very few calories. At 4 months post op I was eating around 1,100 and 1,200 calories and losing 10 pounds a month. U don't want to slow your metabolism down...just from my experience. And if you haven't started you can start exercising. I do a mini trampoline workout 30 mins 3 - 5 times a week and strength training and I think it helps keep metabolism going and change body shape.

How's your carb intake ?.. your calories do seem very low tbh .... u need decent fuel for your new body and a low caloric intake isn't necessary it....

You can increase your calories by adding more fats to your diet with olive ,coconut oil and butter and even avocado , full fat cheese etc
Decrease your non veggie carbs ( rice, starches, pasta)
No sugar or very little
Eating more fat , mediocre Protein and little carb
Walking 1/2 -1hr 3 times week
And maybe add some weights
If u haven't already look up ketogenic recipes.
Remember every "body" is different and try not to compare yourself to someone else. We all do it unfortunately but you will only beat yourself up for nothing..
u should read up " why he scales lie"...

I had my bypass on October 24th 2016 and I have lost about 55lbs. I am really discouraged right now because I am at a stall for about six weeks and I am for the most part doing everything correct and even upped my Water and exercise :)

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
