Impatient As Ache Eee Dbl Toothpix

Recommended Posts

I SOOOOO want to get started and feel like I am moving forward. Monday was my seminar and I have taken the information and run with it. I looked at the check list in my information package and burst from teh starting blocks. I called my Ins. and confirmed my requirements. I set up my physical exam and contacted my psychologist for his evaluation. (surgeon said to use him since he has my history). I have had my labs and Friday will consult with PCP for referral. I signed up for the My Health Manager web page that we are required to sign up for and filled out the two hour history they asked for. My program coordinator has not yet given me the post-seminar call. I realize that I am impatient, but I have waited all my adult life for something like this and so want to get it under way.

Anyone else in the same boat>>>>>>>>

Hi Krinannie,

I'm in Australia, so not quite so much to go through. I have been to my seminar and even before that I had decided this is what I wanted. My first appointment is on Tuesday, then the following week I see the dietician and then back to the surgeon the week after. I'm hoping by that time that he says yes and I'm hoping for a date either in mid November or in the new year.

Let me know how you go with all your appointments.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
