Wow no coffee! I can have coffee up to 2 days before. Crazy how all the dr's have different rules. But I am committed to following what they say. To be honest the shakes they put me on are not bad either! I was pretty surprised. I have a different shake for afterwards not sure how that will taste, but it is what it is. I am just worried about afterwards feeling horrible and being like "what did I do" which I hear is common. As now a side from being over weight I really don't have many problems but I know it is really just a matter of time if I stay this weight.

11 more days of the liquid diet. This stinks, I know its mostly head hunger but part of it is that I have already done the diet and half way through it my surgery date changed. So it is my second time around. It is mostly boring. But I have found I prefer the Carnation Light start to the Premier. But I am doing both and then just sugar free Jello and I can have sugar free popsicles but I have not had those yet. They seem a bit bland to me :(

Still doesn't feel real lol. I'm more emotional over the fact I tried to find two sweatsuits so I could look cute at the airport but the Boxing Day sales have been awful af.

I don't want to look dusty coming home with my new stomach lol.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
