calling all December 2016 sleevers!

I made a group called "December 2016 Sleevers!" I would love for everyone who has a surgery date in December to join! lets be a great support system for each other and go on this journey to a better us with great friends. Share our success and failures along the way, cheer each other on, wether you already have support from your family and friends or from nobody at all like I've unfortunately seen from some, lets make sure we definitely have each other to lean on! btw they say you normally gain weight around the holidays, are we crazy?! haha

  • Just wanted you all to know my surgery went very well today. The afternoon after I didn't get the right dosage of pain meds and nausea meds so I was miserable. Once the Doctor came to see me he adjust

  • Hi bariatric fan... surgery was done yesterday. The gas pain was awful yesterday and kept me nauseated. I was feeling really bad. But I walked and used my incentive spirometer for breathing exercise

How neat that you are so far away yet still able to communicate with us. Yeah the sleeve is the same regardless of where you are. But glad to hear you are doing good. It gets better on down the road so I'm looking forward to that.

I was dec 5 as well.... since surgery I have lost 21 lbs. I have some tough Patches but doing okay. How have you been?

December 5th I would love to join :)

I've been doing Owkay. I'm from Mozambique, but currently studying and was sleeved in South Africa (Cape Town).

So the set of Vitamins that mostly people talk about here are totally different this side but the experience is the same at the end of the day,and that is why I joined this forum although I'm from the other side of the world :)

I was too, and honestly, when I finally woke up I thought to myself, what have I done? But it's been almost 4 weeks.... best decision ever!!

You will do just fine Christina, I was sacred and nervous too!!!! But I've had other surgeries before, and this was by far the easiest time I had. Just be sure to get up and walk as soon as you can after and continue moving around, so the gas doesn't settle, that's so uncomfortable !!!! My son (who is an RN at the hospital where I had my surgery) had me up and walking hours after. The worst pain I felt, was like I was kicked in the stomach or like I had done tons of crunches, but that was it, nothing major!!!

Hey everyone!!! I just had my bypass on the 22nd...although I was SUPER scared the worst of it for me was recovery (night of surgery) next morning was tolerable with some soreness! But I'm a week out and I feel AMAZING! (other than this horrible liquid diet ????)
