Spicy food?

Ever since surgery I've been craving spicy food. My doctor said I can eat it and if my new stomach doesn't like it then I'll know right away. I'm 4 weeks post op with chili & buffalo flavored foods calling my name. Anyone able to eat spice with no issues? TIA

I'm only 6 days out and still on liquid but my current favorite Soup (strained of course) is an organic chicken tortilla southwest style soup. Definitely has a kick but my doc said the same-as long as I'm tolerant of it, shouldn't be an issue. I would say minimal at first, small bites, and take your time savoring :) you know your pouch best!

I eat spicy foods (really really spicy hehe). I like sour and spicy stuff, and don't care for anything sweet. I have no issue with it at all. My surgeon said that's fine as long as I can tolerate it too, so whew. :D I do take famotidine 20mg twice a day as per my surgeon.

I could not WAIT until I had a teaspoon of refried beans with a dash of salsa or taco sauce! I am a Mexican food junkie! Three years later, maybe four chips and Queso and Salsa, I stop'. I think I could go on for weeks!!!!! But my health is more important, and I refuse to go there.

I tried hot and sour soup Friday and it burned a little in my chest. I'm going to try again in another couple weeks! My heartburn is really bad though. I hope once that subsides I will tolerate a bit more spicy:-)

Ever since my surgery I have just wanted to swim in a giant bowl of Siracha sauce.
