New Doc, new Nut tomorrow!

Recommended Posts

Meeting me new team tomorrow and excited to see what they can offer me to start working this regain back off. Obviously I'm in for some serious work, which I'm willing to do.

BUT I really want to get specific direction from the Nut and the doc both. I generally can do EXACTLY as i'm told IF i'm given a specific path/plan. it's just my personality.

While I'm completely humiliated to meet this man and admit to my gain, i'm also relieved that there is going to be some light in sight.

Wish me luck!

If you like, I'm wishing you luck.

I understand that you're feeling humiliated, but it's uncalled for. The surgeons, NPs, RDs and all the other staff members have seen and heard it all. They won't judge and they'll be happy to work with you toward your success. Your determination is obvious.

You don't need luck. You have your power.

I know if they are like other doctors, no reason to feel humiliation or embarrassment. Doctors have seen it all.

As long as you are continuing to fight this disease called obesity you are a success and not a failure - you just need direction and help with the next steps. you are paying them to look after you.

I hope you will come back and tell us how it goes. I find NUTS to be hit or miss in their helpfulness. wishing you all the best with yours.

Well, i had my appt. i was a bit disappointed. since this surgeon doesn't really know me, or my history at all, he did tell me that i may benefit from an appetite suppressant. i'm not all that interested in diet pills.

Then the nut couldn't see me after all, so i'm supposed to go back. but i've decided to go back to my original surgeon and nut for at least some guidance (and they know my entire case). all i really need is a kick in the pants and a specific plan on WHAT to do. i think i have a pretty good idea, i've been through it once! appt in 10 days.

i think this is a good plan to go back to original medical team

you are obviously a smartie pants!!!! LOL

i saw your earlier post, i don't remember why you had to change doc/NUT?

the new doc didn't thrill you

suggested pills you rather not take

NUT had to postpone your meeting

these are small red flags IMO

not necessary or good for you to feel humiliated

10 days - can you try and do liquids again

for a jump start? - 3, 6, 8, 10 days!!!

a few days anyway would be great ;)

you know what to do

you are a success, even if you gained a few lbs

i just put my sun glasses on

i see that light at the end of the tunnel

it's shining brightly for you!!!

you can do this

i'm giving you a long distance kick in the arse

hugggggs too!!

good luck bud

kathy

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
