What are you drinking?

What's wrong with good, old fashioned Water? I love it! I have noticed though, that post-op, it has to be ICE cold (with ice literally floating in it) for me to drink it. Anything any warmer than that sits very heavy in my stomach, unless it's an actual hot beverage, like coffee or tea.

I am drinking probably 70 oz of Water a day.... Crystal light is so sweet is grosses me out kind of and I hate coffee and tea.... I am really missing my Coke Zero. Any great drink options I am overlooking??

My husband loves the sweet Peach Tea Crystal Light, gag! I make it half the strength of his, but discovered Dasani sugar free drops, and with a tiny squirt of Coconut pineapple, loving it.

Funny, I have a hard time with ice water or very cold drinks. Has to be room temperature.

I was a gallon a day coke zero addict for five years. I swapped, per my nutritionist advice, to Crystal light lemonade with great success. He said the tart flavor satisfies the "bite" of coke zero I the tongue. So far so good

My tastes changed and I can't drink plain Water anymore...Lately I've been drinking Vitamin Water Zero (Acai-Blue berry-Pomegranate is my fave) I tried the add ins but so far they all give me even worse indigestion. I'm hoping that goes away.

Water is only my friend 1/2 the time and that's HUGE progress at three years out. For my first two, Water didn't work at all.

I do drink Coke Zero, but with my doctor's permission and I am over 3 years out.

I drank Gatorade mixed with water (I hate g2), crystal light, iced coffee...

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
