Alas it seems I was not on the market for long... ;)

1.)I am single mom. My son is 9 and he was diagnosed with autism in August 2014 and epilepsy this past December.

2.) I am and have been a probation and parole officer for 14 years

3) I met my boyfriend on a zombie game app you can download from the App Store.

And inflated my head. Probably quite dramatically.

But made my day! :D

My brag list:

I've been with my husband for damn near 13 years, married for 7. I feel this is brag worthy because we both grew up in super tumultuous households yet we've made it work and grown together.

I've basically raised my bro since I was 7 and he was 4. He has Down syndrome, and said tumultuous household left us to fend for ourselves. My husband is great with him, and we come up with awesome stuff to do with him. Last year he was a guest artist on Inkmaster!

I make totally awesome soap as a hobby. I sell tons at craft shows, and people seek me out specifically now. Ego boost right there :)

I finished my associates degree.

I've been at the same job for 8 years and I am often everyone's go to.

All of my pets are rescues, and two years ago I was able to volunteer at one of the forefront No Kill shelters.

I have fantastic lips and eyelashes!

I think I have a fantastic personality and a big heart.

I have it on my Facebook tagline thingy - I am a dreamer, passionate, creative, crazy pet mom, wife, sister, daughter and friend.

Not so brag worthy, I am neurotic. I have to plan everything out as far in advance as I possibly can, and I get anxious with spontaneity. Working on that for sure.

Not defining myself as "the fat one" in the group is going to be tough, though hopefully not as much so post surgery.

The following is a made up of a few things...

Truths...

Half truths...

Bullsh*t......

Movie quotes/song lyrics..

(No, I'll not be telling you which are which..)

Now, this may seem odd to you...

But it's probably the most accurate reflection of myself that I'll ever post in a public forum...

Ever!!

- My real name is NOT KindaFamiliar

- I was raised in the Jehovah's Witness religion but was kicked out at age 17. This resulted in me not speaking to any of my family for a number of years. That now means that I have little to no relationship with either my parents or siblings. In fact, late last year, after much mental debate, I changed my name. My middle name was my "father's" first name. It is not so any longer.

- Chicks dig me - because I rarely wear underwear, and when I do, it's usually something unusual.

- I successfully auditioned (3 callbacks) for a television show that never came to being. It was a panel/chat show and they wanted people who were "opinionated and outspoken". Weird, huh?

- I believe in the soul, the c*ck, the p*ssy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high Fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days...

- I love to sing. I even enjoy karaoke. I've won many competitions. The smallest prize was a $50 bar tab. The largest was $2500 cash. I've been fortunate enough to sing on stage with Jimmy Barnes (Aussie rock royalty) and also sing karaoke with the late Slim Dusty (Aussie country GOD).

- I'm 47 years old next month and am STILL yet to decide what I wanna be when I grow up. I'm stuck between radio announcer and fire engine.

- I've not lost weight for over four months. I've not gained weight either. I've fluctuated between 106 and 110 (kilograms) lost for that entire period. It's finally starting to get to me.

- Some people play hard to get. I play hard to want. I'm really not for the faint hearted. But I'm well worth the effort.

- I actually do like big butts. But at the same time, I can lie... I'm not. But I can.

- Little horses make me smile. No, laugh. In fact, giggle like a child. It's not fake. It's a real giggle. And I love it.

- I'm not yet 'proud' of my post-WLS achievements. I've not got 'there' yet. I will. I know it. And when I do, I'll 'proud' myself until I'm blistered and spent. But until then, I'm merely pleased.

- I'm an excellent kisser.

- I'm an avid anti-violence against women campaigner. I have stepped into various situations on occasions where I thought someone's actions were inappropriate. I will always do so.

- On a related note, I've never had a black eye (despite being hit many, many times).

- I've never left Australia... But I'm in the process of getting my passport.

- I have some issues.

- I truly don't believe that you can 'be anything you want to'... But I also believe that such logic shouldn't stop you trying if it's what you want to do. Go and do whatever you like. Don't worry about upsetting or hurting others. Just know that if you do, there may be consequences.

- I recently donated 60 used (fat) polo shirts to a local shelter. Every one of them was black.

- To me, there are very few things that say summer better than eating a fresh mango in the bathtub.

- I unashamedly like Van Halen, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake et al.

- I also like Sinatra, Pavarotti and the bagpipes.

- I cry in 'The Green Mile'.

- I will answer any question openly and honestly - but it's gotta be worded correctly.

- I like me. I know my shortcomings. I know my strengths. I don't generally publicize either - but they're all there for everyone to see.

- I'm aware that this post has wandered off track and I don't care.

- Finally, I'm going to stalk someone's profile... You all know whose...

If you've got this far - WHAT THE ABSOLUTE F*CK IS WRONG WITH YOU???

Go spend some time with your family!!!

Crazy b*tches!!!

.

You spoke of eating mangos in the tub. I'm down in Miami and they are EVERYWHERE. My daughter rides her bike and collects them. This morning she had 22 before she got to the end of the street.

I'm going to be good and have a mango Protein smoothie. She will enjoy this...

(She's a smart kid who understands moderation. She must have gotten that from her father. ;)attachicon.gif ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1465671669.108027.jpg

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
