Help needed from MFP expert

Recommended Posts

Hi there. I have linked Map My Run with My Fitness Pal. In my MFP news feed it lists my run and that I burned 530 calories, but it isn't adding to the calories at the top of the diary page.

Any ideas what I have done wrong?

TIA :)

Have you made sure that you have set your goals? Bottom right hand side of bar that is on every page the is a thumbnail that says 'more'. Click on that and you will see 'goals' third down from the top. Click on that and you should be able to set things up to suit your own purpose. If that doesn't work, ummmmm.............Google it!!!!!!!!!! Good luck

I had similar trouble synching with it, so I gave up. I use My Plate by livestrong.

Thank you. I don't know why it would pick it up in the newsfeed, but in the diary.

I have set the goals, no change. I have googled, but all the trouble shooting I have tried doesn't change it.

Running 10km tonight so will see if it shows up.

Fixed! MFP was picking up steps from my iPhone. I have disabled the logging of steps, so all sorted.

Something that my exercise physiologist told me about those "calories burned" is that they are terribly innacurate. I exercise alot and was conerned about the number of calories burned because they would frequently be at least half and sometimes up to a full day of what i consumed. So take them with a grain of salt.

Just to add to the last comment. Map my Walk and my Shine have different ideas of how far I have gone on my dog walks. I too take it with a pinch of salt but at least it gives me a fairly good picture of what I have done for the day.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
