May 21, 201610 yr Almost 8 months! Insurance only required 6 but one of the surgeons left and caused a backlog!
May 21, 201610 yr Most insurance requires six months. I was self paid and it was exactly four weeks from initial consult to surgery. Typically they like you to meet with a nutritionist and get a psyche evaluation also you may need a pre op chest x ray, ekg and blood work so it depends on how quickly you can get those things done.

May 22, 201610 yr I had my first consult on May 21. They did blood work. Breathing test. EKG. Sch'd scope for the 10th. Gets erupts on 13th. If no hernia I will schedule surgery date then.
