Does 2/15 count? Feeling much better. My doctor had me on Clear liquids for 3 days, then switch to full liquid. One week out he has me on puree. Next week I'm supposed to try soft foods. It's much faster than other schedules I've heard about, but so far, so good. Not having problems with the Water, probably because I easily drank 16-24 oz. of coffee plus Water each day pre-surgery. I was already a "sipper." Discovered my limit is 3 TBSP of pureed food. Anything more and I feel it.

Gained 5 pounds from the surgery. But that went away fairly quickly. By my scale, I've lost that plus another 5 pounds. My doctor's scale weighs 3 lbs. heavier than mine does. As far as they're concerned I've lost 2 lbs. Grrr. Oh, and I had my stitches out!

Hi Niya

I had mine on the 2nd Feb 2016, so just over 3 weeks ago. I live in London but I went to the Czech Republic to have it done. It was really good.

I struggled at first when I first came home with all the change and missing food but I'm now a lot happier and beginning to understand my new stomach!

I'm eating basically Soups, oats for Breakfast, humus , cottage cheese, fresh juices of fruits and veggies..

I'm not going to rush into normal food at all. I've lost 20 pounds so far ..

What about you? x

I had my surgery on the 16th. I am feeling great! I was on Clear Liquids for 3 days, now I am on regular liquids. I have lost 14 lbs as of this morning. I have my follow up today, hoping to get on soft foods today!

I had my surgery on the 16th. I'm feeling pretty good. Lost 15 pre op and am now down 21. My surgeon started me on full liquid diet on day two. I went back to work yesterday and should start soft foods next Wednesday. Hardest part so far is not being able to pick up my son.

Im on full liquids. Ahh lol. Cant wait for pureed food . I was in the hospital for 2 days after the surgery was really nauseous and in pain. I too gained weight while in the hospital. I gained 3 pounds. I guess its from the IV fluids? ? But overall from start of preop diet til now i lost 17 pounds. Some pounds is better than no pounds so ill take that .

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
