  • What an insecure selfish prick move that was. So.......surgery to improve your health was all it took to run him off ????? He's got tons of issues that will take years that work through....... And

  • I get the feeling that there is more to his discontent other than the size and shape of the human container that you reside in. A hubby who cares about your health and well-being would not even think

  • This may sound cruel but....BYE! Seriously if he's going to leave you at a time like this over the assumption that you "might leave him later" he's too weak for you. What if you get cancer, a terminal

I second all the supportive advice of the others here, but would just add: Since he won't go to counseling, go alone. You'll need a lot of emotional support as you go through the weight loss process and hormonal changes. And it sounds like he was mentally checked out anyway -- that is not normal behavior for someone who loves you. Maybe couples counseling would have just dragged out the pain.

I am so, so sorry.

My surgery is on the 23rd as well! Let's be buddies!

It is very hard to be objective about a relationship when you are in it....One day you will thank him for showing his ass! Best of luck to you and your new life! You will not regret this!!

ME TOO! I wan't to get it over with too, but scared. We can all be Feb. 23rd Buddies! :)

Let's make a new thread for Feb 23rd! That way we can keep In touch!

Wow what a jerk. You need to go to counseling with or without him. You have a lot to deal with physically, emotionally, and mentally. I just got sleeved on the 12th also. Just walking back into work is a giant step.

Counseling is Not for the weak. You got to know there is something wrong with him not you.

So sorry you're going through that!

Good Riddance! I'm single and have done this all on my own without a hitch. Don't let him bring his nasty attitude around you! You need to be clear headed and focused on your new rules. We are all here and between BP and your Drs office you have got this handled.
