January Surgery Dates!

Who's getting their surgery in January? I just got my insurance approval today, and I meet with my surgeon Wednesday the 16th of Dec. The scheduler said that I will most likely get my surgery on the 5th of january because he only has one scheduled on the 5th, and he is out of the office until my appointment! I am beyond excited!

Congrats to both of you! Glad you're doing well.

One week post op here. What a difference a week makes.

I agree! I'm 9 days post op currently

Six more days for me--three on pre-op solid foods diet and then three on full liquids. The clock's ticking.

How are you feeling? I am in pain constantly taking pain killers. How about you?

How are you both feeling? I keep hoping the pain goes away...

Bunyip - Good luck!

I think day two at home was the worst for me. I took two doses of pain meds. After that I was fine no more pain meds. It was uncomfortable getting up and down but I didn't need the meds. Getting the fluids down at first is tough but at one week I can get down 64oz and then some.

Doing pretty good. The only time I hurt is on my left side and only when I move a certain way. And also I hurt ifni over do it, like walk too much. Other than that everything is going pretty smoothly, getting Water Protein in most days.

My surgery was rescheduled from Dec 22nd to Jan 26th. On day 3 of my 2 week pre-op diet! Fingers crossed all goes well!

Just got my date today. 1/27. woot woot. Doing my pre-surgery tests tomorrow... then back to working like crazy until my surgery since I will be off for 2-3 months.

I somewhat agree, Day 2 pain is really bad but I am thankful to the pain killers because they really are easing the pain. Still at the hospital and they're keeping them coming in rotation! Only drinking Water and a bit of apple juice a bit scared to have any soup/broth plus, not feeling hungry at all feel like I can live off water!

Good luck to all upcoming procedures, it goes quickly!

Thanks :)

I'm feeling same day 2 pain is worse but thank god for pain meds

Today is day 6 post-op and i can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The pain has lessened today but im still having a lot of pain where my gallbladder was removed and where my drain is. I am having difficulty getting my water and protein amounts in. I have been managing about 40 oz of water and 10-20 grams of protein daily. Im hoping im through the worst of it and its only up (weight down ????) from here!
