  1. How are you feeling? I am in pain constantly taking pain killers. How about you? I agree! I'm 9 days post op currentlyHow are you both feeling? I keep hoping the pain goes away... Bunyip - Good luck! Doing pretty good. The only time I hurt is on my left side and only when I move a certain way. And also I hurt ifni over do it, like walk too much. Other than that everything is going pretty smoothly, getting Water Protein in most days.
  2. I agree! I'm 9 days post op currently

  4. I had my surgery that day too!
  5. In the beginning the pain was mostly from the gas and the pain now is mostly from the incisions when I try to stand up. Good luck to you. It's hard in the beginning and hurts a lot. Hopefully you get good meds.
  6. thanksI'm doing ok, the first 2 days were the worst for pain. The incisions aren't that uncomfortable unless I'm trying to stand up from a sitting position Or bending over and it's only on the left side. The diet is ok, I'm still trying to figure out a drinking schedule, and medicine schedule. Other than that I'm feeling pretty good.
  7. I had my surgery on tuesday And got to go home on wednesday. Those so far have been the worst days, today I'm feeling a lot better, still a little pain but not nearly as bad as the first 2 days. Walking is a life saver.
  8. I've started mine, one more week until surgery. Mine is a small carb free, breakfast, usually a protein shake or a quarter cup of egg beaters and a peice of whole wheat toast, lunch is a salad with 3 to 4 oz of turkey or chicken and Italian Dressing, and dinner is 3 to 4 ozs of a lean meat like chicken breast or turkey breast and unlimited amount of starchy veggies. I'm doing pretty good so far. I can imagine doing an all liquid diet.

  15. @@Bagpuss I had my preop appt on December 3rd and was told that I should start my preop diet as soon as possible. I had to wait until payday so I started mine on December 14th and my surgery is the 5th of January. My preop diet itself is just small healthy meals with lean meat like tuna, chicken breast, and turkey breast. Then I can have 3 snacks a day as well as long as their healthy and sugar free. And he also said I could have a cheat day on Christmas and then go back on the diet the day after.

My husband on the other hand had told everyone, seems like it, about my surgery. Some of it was necessary to get the ok for vacation from work. He coukdnt keep a secret if his life depended on it lol

  20. Hi everyone, my surgery date is scheduled for January 5th. Anyone else having surgery then? I could have gotten it done sooner but my hubby can get time off easier if it's after the holidays. I've got my pre op appt with my surgeon on December 3rd, and my nutrition class on December 7th. I'm so excited!
