December 8th Sleevers......

What time do you have to be at the hospital and what time is your procedure scheduled for? How are you doing on the pre-op?

I have to be at the hospital at 6am surgery scheduled for 10am. My pre-op has been good with no major struggles.

You went to the grocery store??? Wow--you're a rock star. I'm flat on my back still but I think by tomorrow I will be up more. Pain is much less today than yesterday. I ate some Campbell's Tomato soup for lunch. It was warm and soothing.

Lol.....I'm not going anywhere until I get this drain removed. The soup does sound good. I need to check my pantry.

I'm only taking about 3 cc of the pain meds because it's totally disgusting and makes me gag. So I only take it when I can't stand the pain. My drain wound is on my left and it's finally slowed down on the seepage. You guys giving yourselves the blood thinner shots?

Just was worried there! My surgeon does not leave a drain in, and my first thought was there was a complication. Good to know its routine!

I am on my way home. Full liquids for a week then I go back next Wednesday to get the drain removed. I hope you ladies get to go home soon.

Yikes! Drain? Is that normal?

For my doctor it is. He leaves a drain in for a week. It is a surgeon's preference. I am really having to learn this sleeve I drank too much too soon and feeling like crap.

I'm not taking any pain meds as I haven't had too much pain just discomfort where the drain is more so irritating the heck out of me. My seepage from the drain has decreased as well. I wasn't given any meds for blood thinning to take home. I was given heparin shots during my stay in the hospital. I pray and hope for complication free events.

I just tried to eat lunch and it did not go well. Terrible indigestion and feeling like everything is sitting in my chest. I obviously was overzealous and went to big, too fast. Lesson learned!

Well, that sounds like a common theme today! That's three of us !

You guys giving yourselves the blood thinner shots?

I did the shots for 7 days. 40cc each, HUGE to me!

I tell you this sleeve is like a baby.....it wants to be fed and burped (walking).

OMG, that make me laugh! I needed that! (*goes to burp her baby*)

Yay!! Congrats! It feels good to be home, even though my surgical staff was hands down, THE BEST! That hospital staff and those girls were amazing!

What did you try to eat? I tried some soup that I strained and had four spoonfuls and was done it was heavily diluted with water too.

I'm going home!!!!!!

So happy for you!!!!! I knew it wouldn't be long.

I e been diluted soups. Tried a protein shake twice today--can't do them for some reason --

In s couple of days when we are feeling better, do you guys want to form our own little group either w a private invite only Facebook page or just group texting.

So I am just getting a chance to post. Went in on the 8th. Never had a problem clotting before but this time I did. I was pre diabetic and was about to go into diabetic shock jumped to 250. So after all being said an iron and blood transfusion, days of Iv fluids, ultrasound on kidneys to make sure they were ok and my labs finally returning to normal. I am finally home and the gas is crazy.
