Anyone with Cigna insurance ?

Recommended Posts

My authorization was submitted on Tuesday. If you have Cigna insurance how long did the process take to get approved. I'm supposed to start my diet on Wednesday and the doctors off said don't start until the auth has been approved

I have Cigna. My paperwork was submitted on a Tuesday and got approval on Thursday. If you were submitted on this past Tuesday, you probably won't get anything back until next week since Thursday and Friday (today) are days off.

I have Cigna also and like paradise I had a little problem with proper paperwork from my hospital so it took about 2 weeks. If everything is submitted properly by the hospital it shouldn't take more than a week.

I have nutrition class next Tuesday, then I turn in the remaining paperwork to be submitted. How long will it take to get an answer?

I have Cigna and it took a little over a week to get approved. I have done my pre-op dr apt and now I am prepping for surgery with a 10 day liquid diet and then clear diet 2 days before surgery. I'm scheduled for March 15th.

Good luck with everything. Your approval will come quicker than you think.

I have Cigna and have my first appointment tomorrow. I'm concerned about how much patient responsibility will be left after the insurance pays when this is all said and done. I know I have to pay a $50 copay tomorrow, have a deductible that's over $7000 for my family plan(it's me and my son), and then have to pay 20% from there. It seems to me that I'll end up paying more for my portion with insurance than I've read people pay to go to Mexico for VSG. The coordinator who made my appointment said we have a three month requirement with Cigna-have those of you who have already had your procedures been able to schedule close to three months, or has it taken four or five? I have to travel for work in August and hope I can get this in by the beginning of July in order to be ready for the trip.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
