WHINING - STALLED

Recommended Posts

OK I'VE BEEN AT 188, 189, 190 FOR WHAT SEEMS LIKE 2 MONTHS, THIS CAN'T BE THE END, THIS CAN'T BE ALL I'M GOING TO LOSE, I THOUGHT I WAS BEING LENIENT ON MYSELF GOING FOR 175. I HAVE DONE SOME OF THOSE CALCULATORS OR ESTIMATORS THAT SAY WHAT YOU COULD LOSE AND MOST OF THEM ARE IN THE 170-180 RANGE. I DON'T CHEAT, I DON'T EVER EAT, I'M REALLY FINE WITH THIS SIZE EXCEPT FOR MY STOMACH THAT I STILL HAVE, IF IT WERE MUCH SMALLER I'M FINE WITH EVERYTHING ELSE...DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET THE scale MOVING AGAIN :(

Maybe you're not eating enough and your body is holding on to the excess fat for fuel, and I've heard make sure you get all your Protein in. I had stalled already, ate a little more yesterday, and was down a pound this morning.

I concur with @purz59. You need to eat more. Every time I would stall, I would increase my calories and it would always work.

Do you track your calories and protien? Excersise? Drink your fluids?

You may just simply be in a "resting" period. I believe I am in one now. My weight has fluctuated by 2lbs up and down for 3 weeks now. I know that I am not done losing weight. Inches are still coming off. I'm glad for the "resting" period because I think it helps my skin. I would say to just stick with your program, eat well, exercise daily (not in excess), and drink more than 64 ounces of Water daily. Things will start moving again. Let your body do what it needs to do.

You can whine all you want but stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process. They are bound to happen if you want to lose weight.

And, I imagine the closer you get to goal, the more your weight loss will slow down.

As you get closer to goal have you talked with your NUT?

Embrace the Stall!

When my weight loss stalled, one day I would increase the number of calories over what my normal daily calorie goal was and then eat fewer calories than usual the next day. After a few days, this seemed to "trick" my body in to thinking I wasn't starving it and weight loss would continue. It is very important to document your calories and Protein every day. As has already been said, you may not be eating enough. Too few calories and too little Protein will not increase your weight loss. Everyone has stalls. Good luck with your weight loss journey!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
