Sleeved on Sept 3rd. Started my journey on May 1st. Since my consultation i have lost 97 lbs. I took the warning that my doctor gave me to lose weight before surgery very seriously. He said that it would make the surgery and healing easier. Im at 6 weeks post of and feel great physically. Metally, eh, could be better. We were all fat for the most part because we liked to eat. Now i do not like eating at all. It has become a job and it makes me sad. Everyone says it will get better so I keep that in mind(all the time). Dont get me wrong, the weight loss and the ability to move again is Tremendous and i would never want to go back to where is was. I do miss enjoying food though.

where from in NY?

Surgery: 9/14

I'm doing ok but wish I was doing better.

The weightloss is fine, I'm down 25 lbs in total (before and after surgery) I think 15 lbs since surgery.

I can't seem to go number 2 unless I take milk of magnesia. They gave me colase but it doesn't do anything.

I can't get in enough Water and I really try but unless all I do is sip Water when I'm not eating I don't know how to do it.

I can't get in enough Protein because I really really don't want to have shakes.

I had to stop taking the Multivitamin i ordered for after surgery because it made me nearly vomit.

Other than that I'm doing ok with food and on and off with energy.

I was against shakes, because mine were horrible in the past. I found chocolate AMP at GNC and it is pretty good. My dad said it tasted like chocolate milk. It's the only way I feel like I'm getting enough Protein.< /p>

I just found this Protein powder which is tasteless and you can add it to almost everything and the best part of it all is that it is 30 grams of Protein per 1 tablespoon. maybe this is something that could be good for you to get your protein in. it's called Musclegen Research GENEPRO Protein Powder and i picked it up at Amazon.com

@@RobinGee I am using the MDPatch vitamins! Have you tried them? They are very comfortable and I hear they are working great with getting the levels up as shown in blood tests.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
