What's your day look like?

Recommended Posts

I had my surgery a week ago tomorrow and I start my phase 2. What is your typical day look like as far as how much you drink, eat(soups) etc. I'm wanting to make sure I don't over due it and I stay on track. I have been on Clear Liquids and can add cream Soups in now. How many ounces are you guys able to eat at a time and how many times a day? Any advice would be great!

I have been doing full liquids since Thursday of last week. I pretty much drink/eat every 2 hours

8:00 - 1/2 of Greek yogurt, 4-8 oz of Water

10:00 - 4oz premier Protein, 4-8 oz of Water

12:00 - 4oz healthy request cream of chicken, 4-8 oz water

14:00 - 4oz Premier Protein, 4-8oz of water

16:00 - 1/2 no sugar added hot chocolate made with fat free milk, 4-8 oz of water

18:00 - 4 oz healthy request Tomato Soup, 4-8 oz of water

20:00 - 4 oz Premier Protein, 4-8 oz of water

Above is what I started out doing. As of today, I can get around 6oz of each down along with 3/4 of the yogurt. I hope this helps.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
