Where are you guys getting big & tall gym clothes ?

Recommended Posts

I am mostly Goodwill for clothes. Guys here recommended it, and I see why. I get most of my work clothes here, and occasional buy some casual clothes at Ross or Wal-Mart.

I don't change sizes as much now cause I'm nearing my 1 year sleeversary. I've saved a lot of money and I get to recycle clothes back to goodwill so others can benefit too.

I use to be in the 5XLT size. Online I was doing both Casual Male where I could do both online and in store shopping for clothing. Also did King Size, and Eastbay. Now I can basically go where ever I want for clothing now. Lately all of my sports gear (which has been mostly sports compression wears) I have been getting from Sports Authority and Walmart. I am down to a 1 to 2XLT.

*Tip toes in*

Sorry to invade guys, but I like all things shopping related. Just dropping this here. Sign up for their mailing list and you'll be able to take advantage of their sales. Depending on where you live they also have brick and mortar stores.

Well......turns out that my need for big&tall gym clothes has gone away.

I was able to have my surgery several months sooner than I anticipated when I started this thread.

I'm very fortunate with this.

My current gear is sufficient to see me through until I drop off a few sizes and back into regular sized gear.

The Under Armour pants are cut long enough to meet the "tall" demand.

Looking forward to the months ahead.

A couple weeks before surgery I went into Casual Male XL to get some cargo pants. When I was leaving the salesperson tried to get me to sign up for all sorts of future rewards stuff. I kindly thanked them but declined. I didn't go into details with them, but that may very well have been my last time walking into that store.

Very cool feeling.

Thank, Boss.

Very relieved and glad to be here.

I'm going to push hard and make the very best of this opportunity. No excuses, no BS and no slacking off.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
