New here surgery date is Wednesday August 12

Hello , I've been actively commenting on a few forums and just wanted to get my fears out there. Surgery isn't that far. And as time passes in getting more and more anxious.. I know my surgeon is great. But I'm still nervous my first time having surgery . The sick part doesn't bother me I've been sick before 2 where I couldn't eat. And couldn't keep anything down. That part is expected. It's the what if that scare me .. I pray I will be complication free.. Any surgery twins ???? Sorry so long ????????????????????

So how are the early august surgeries doing?? My son and I are getting better day by day. For those further out how long did it take you to get at least most of the protein in because it seems really really hard right now.

I've been great .. I walk a lot. And try to get in my fluids. I'm on full liquids for 8 more days. Lol until my 2 week post op appointment . My incisions are healing okay. Minimal pain. At first there was pain when I would move. But now they are way better. Hunger lol that's another's sometimes I'm okay sometimes I'm not. Head hunger not physical hunger. I hope this helps

@@tiggerbug I'm 13 days out now and doing well. My program has us start with pureed food right away. Most days I'm 3 shakes and 2 pureed meals between 1-2oz. I have my NUT follow up on Monday, so hopefully I'll find out if I'm on track. Still struggling with the water intake. I didn't think it would be this challenging - I'm usually getting around 40oz a day including shake liquid in that total. How are you and your son doing??!
