    How about some NSVs!?!?

I'm the same way..... I've lost 90 pounds but sit between 185 and 188 for a while now. But I can tell how much the weight loss helps because today I walked 8 miles without my knees and ankles hurting. Also went on a plane and the seat wasn't uncomfortable and the seat belt fit. All little NSVs but I'll take them
  12. I'm the same..... hard getting in my protein. The shakes are too sweet for me and now I'm stuck at the same weight for almost a month. Very frustrating....
  13. Hey guys.....what's going on with everyone....seems like after surgery everyone stopped posting. I hope all is going well
  14. Really weird how doctors are different..... I have no restrictions unless my body says so.... this is my updated pics. First is from today and the second from may

    How about some NSVs!?!?

Down under 200 pounds for the first time in 25 years..... :0)
  16. @@southernbelle256 and @@stillmeonlysmaller I also have very close stats to you guys....surgery date August 14th. 279 Sw 243 Cw 194. It's good to see because I thought I was losing slowly because my son has lost faster bit I guess maybe it's because he had more to lose. Keep up the good work all.
  17. @@Nancy1955 my son and I had surgery the same day and our doctor also gave us cards to show the restaurant so that we can order from the child's menu. Unfortunately only one restaurant has let us. Other than that the rest have made us order off the regular menu in which we just decide on something and ask for another plate, and take the rest home.
  18. @@Pinkpeonies1 I had RNY on August 14. Down 46 pounds since surgery and 80 over all.... Ic also feel like I'm losing slowly but I know everyone is different. I loose around 10 pounds and then sit for a couple weeks then start losing again. I startes at 279 and weigh 197 now. Still 60 pounds to go at least. Gets frustrating but I just keep telling myself that I'll start losing again. My clothes have gone down and my knees and ankles dont hurt all the time like before. Like you I don't get my water in most days because of my job. I can't keep water with me because I work in an operating room. I do get my protein and vitamins but exercise also I know is lacking..... I get one good work out a week at least and more where I can squeeze it in. My son on the other hand had the sleeve done the same day and has lost 80 pounds since surgery and 100 over all. He has just lost a little each week consistently. Just keep plugging away and doing your best. That's all anyone can ask of you. you're doing great.

    Husband/Wife Bypass TOGETHER?!?

@@creativediff my son and I had our surgeries the same day. We both had surgery on aug.14 and we're there as a help to each other and it all was fine. It was nice to have someone who was going through what I was with me. Neither of us had any complications from the surgery so I'm sure that helped to make it easier

    Question

Wow. Livvsmum when was your surgery?
  21. I would have been fine going back after 2 weeks except I wasn't allowed to lift 25 pounds, which I do pretty much every day. So my doctor made me wait until 4 weeks.
  22. My son and I had surgery 12 weeks ago. Both went fine with no complications. He has lost 64 pounds and I lost 40. Best decision I have ever made even without the support of my husband at first.
  23. I was told by my Dr that gummies are fine. I keep reading that other doctors say not to take them. I believe it's all surgeon preference. Where they get their differences who knows but it seems none of them are the same from pre-op diets, post-op diets to vitamins...
  24. I had rny on 8-14. All is going well but I have found I can't eat sausage at all... I haven't found much else I can't eat. To date I have lost 40 pounds since surgery. My son had the sleeve the same day and is down 64 pounds...... he looks like a totally different person. I'm guessing that I haven't lost as much because I isn't have a such to lose to start with. That's okay though I'll take it. When I lose 4 more pounds I will be under 200 for the first time I almost 30 years..... can't wait!! Good luck to all everyone is doing awesome

    How about some NSVs!?!?

I've realized that when waking through the train that I take to work every day I no longer have to turn sideways and excuse myself for bumping I to everyone like I did before. Also my knees and ankles dont ache all the time like they did before surgery :0)
