Another year alone

This year is a year of change for me. I got sleeved in February and lost over 100lbs so far. I am feeling better and can do things I couldn't do for years. With that said, sadly I am feeling very lonely still. My birthday is coming up next month and I will be 39 and alone. Another year that way and it sucks. Hopefully as I keep losing and things get better, my situation will change. It would just be nice to find someone to share this life with.

And don't come on too strong when you meet someone. A friend of mine went online, found a guy & a few dates later he said he wanted to marry her...that he loved her. He's been married 2x before....they married him coz he wore them down the same way. So make sure you work on your self esteem 1st so that you don't come off as needy. Makes a woman feel icky....yes we want someone to love us but not too quickly & not too strongly so quickly. Have fun & take your time but ALWAYS treat her well. Take care of you 1st. There is nothing that is more of a turn on than a man with confidence!!!

@@More than this so maybe after like the 4th date I should ask her to marry me? hahahaha...Oh I see what you are saying, yeah that is way too fast and too much for someone to do.

You're a goof!! Who wouldn't fall in love with you & want to marry u after the 1st date, lol?

That's another thing girls love...a sense of humour! Keep going baaaaaaaby!!

It doesn't work for most but I gotta tell you, my husband told me on our very first date that he was going to marry me someday. I rolled my eyes and blew him off. We just celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary in June. Love is unexpected. There is great advice here, but truth be told, loving yourself is the most important piece, the rest will come naturally. Focus on you. And while you may feel lonely, you have all of these people here rooting you on and here for you. Stay strong! ????

My suggestion -- make yourself a promise to try something new every month, the only stipulation is that the something new has to be something you like. I bet that in no time you will meet a lot of new people with similar interests. And even if none of these new people are "the one," maybe they will introduce you to their other friends. You need to expand your network of friends -- I know you can do it! You've already lost over one hundred pounds -- you can do anything you set you mind to! Make this your birthday present to yourself. Good luck!

Hello,

Haha who knows what life has in store for anyone. ????

I don't know any rules about how good love / marriage will enter your life that are 100% true.

Sometimes love / marriage (the wonderful kind) walks in when you're least expecting it and not in accordance with your own rules.

Here are two rules that, taken together, do seem to apply though:

* Use your best judgment.

* Occasionally, suspend your judgment and be open to "possibilities unimagined."

I have a feeling love will find you, Daveo. :)

I did find 1 rule in my life that was pretty consistent, It happened when looking was the last thing on my mind, when I met my wife me and some friends were planning a big vacation to New Orleans( yes I know pronounced "Na lens") we were gonna leave for week to coincide with Mardi Gras, and do Swamp, Plantation, and ghost tours, and then boom!!!!! And it happened at least 4 x before like that, I met my girlfriends when I least wanted one!!!!! It's a curse being so handsome ;)
