Hi guys my surgery day is tomorrow Aug 5. I'm so glad to start this journey. I have been struggling with my weight for about 4 years now. I have tried Weight Watchers, Atkins fad diets like Soup and cabbage diet. And it seems like none of those worked. I used to do a workout call supreme 90 whenever I was getting extra pounds and it will come off and one day that stopped working. I did find out that I had deficiencies in D and Iron. Although my thyroid test was fluctuate my doctor determine that I did not have a thyroid problem. Meanwhile the pound adding up. Although I do not have diabetes or high blood pressure or anything like that, I do have bad back and knee problems. Me and my husband have been trying to have a baby for two and a half years, got pregnant once but it was a tubal pregnancy and that was about 2 years and 70 pounds ago. I believed I packed on the pounds because I quit smoking I have not smoked a cigarette in over 4 years. With this weight loss journey I'm hoping to get my life back being able to move around better without pain in my knees on my back and also I'm hoping to get pregnant. And when I'm pregnant I don't want to have to worry about my back on my knees. So I'm hoping that it is God's will that I have another baby and although I know you cannot rush God I really do hope its before I turn 40 and I'm 35 now. I do have two girls already from a previous marriage. They are 13 and 17. My husband now does not have any kids and I would really like to give him at least one. So that's my story and tomorrow starts a new chapter in my journey. I wish everyone the best of luck and I'm hoping that other people will respond so that we can all support each other no matter what are weight loss reasons are for.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
