D/FW Area

Recommended Posts

Hmmmm, let's see...... I wonder if Texas Stadium is available for a get together? LOL There certainly are a bunch of folks in here from DFW, not to mention Texas. How about Pappadaux's? On the north side of Dallas, right there by central expressway. I'm not sure of the cross street.

I would suggest something like the civic center in McKinney, but some of the DFWers might get lost if they get outside of the George Bush...hehehe

Other's thoughts on the subject?????

Not familiar with the Central Expressway Pappadeuxs, but do know the one at 35 and Northwest Highway...

Would the Lewisville area be a good one? No Pappadeuxs, but there are lots of restaurants by Vista Ridge?

Just throwing out ideas...

Cindy

Hi guys. I live in Keller and work in Coppell (near Lewisville / Irving / Grapevine area). Either one of those places would be ok with me. I don't know Dallas all that well, but I can find my way anywhere - just not back again ;-).

Holy cow Tammy - size 8?????? Big congrats there!!!

dinner sounds great to me. How about Uncle Julio's, Pappadeaux, or PF Changs off of the Toll Road?

Am scheduled for band tomorrow 3-10-06. Am getting very nervous. Any positive feed back on the surgery itself?

Terri, it ain't nearly as bad as you can make it out to be in your mind. Think of the WORST thing that could happen, short of dying, and you won't come anywhere near that.

Janet, don't feel bad, we have to drive about 35 miles just to go to the dang Walmart. And that's an impressive list.....just forgot OOOoooooone little thing. Where is the Jason's Deli???? LMAO (it's a joke, people...)

LOL, you're right, though, I should post it here as well!

Hmmm, I'll wait until we have a time set & then post the details here.

Terri, the surgery really wasn't that bad. I had worked myself up into a lather, but Mikey (my hubby) talked me down. He had me start listing all the reasons I was doing it -- while deep breathing. I went to sleep waiting for the surgery center to get setup, lol. I don't remember a thing after getting my IV! :D

So my advice, breathe!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
