Hello All. I Am Doing Well. I Went To The Doctor For My Second Fill. I Had My Surgery On Oct 5th. I Had My First Fill On October 18 And My Second Fill On Today. November First. When I Got My First Fill I Was Still Hungry. I Could Eat More Than 4 Ounces Of food. I Hope The Fill That I Got Today Will Help. By My scales At Home I Have Lost 14 Pds. By The Doctor Scales I Have Lost 11pds. I Think I Will Stick With My scale For Now. Its A Little Nicer. Here Soon I Am Going To Download Some Pictures For You All To See Of Me With My New Weight Loss.

I Did Have A Small Problem On Halloween. Me And My Husband Went To The Lake For A While To Relax. For Some Reason I Started To Feel Extremly Nauseated. I Began Throwing Up Constently. I Am Not Sure Why This Happened. This Was The First Time Though. I Did Report The Info To My Doctor Today But All She Said Was....ow Really...ok..

Thats All She Said. I Guess It Wasn't Anything For Me To Worry About. I Feel Fine Now.

See Yall Later

Every now and then I get a bought of nausea..it just comes over me for no reason..my mouth waters I do not vomit and it passes. You're not alone there

Congrats on the weight loss. I hope this fill works for you. I do not know of too many Dr.'s though that would give 2 fills in such a short time but every doctor is different:)

Strange things like that happen to me every once in a while too. I'm always better by the next day because I go to liquids after I pb or throw up. My throat get irritated if I try to eat real food.< /p>

Hey, LoveMe, do you have the Inamed LapBand, a Swedish band, or some other kind? I'm asking only because you had your first fill less than two weeks after surgery, and your second fill two weeks after that. Every doctor has a different protocol -- but yours is very sped-up for the Inamed band. Most of us don't get the first fill until six weeks after surgery.

Congratulations on your loss!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
