I'm scheduled for July 28th with Dr. Ortiz @ OCC

Bariatric Pal no longer associates or recommends him.

It makes me sad and also a bit nervous.

I booked a private car to pick me up and bring me to the hospital. I want my trip to be a comfortable as possible.

Is he good about giving pain meds? I don't want to be miserable.

How did your surgery go with Dr. Ortiz? I have been researching him in case my insurance does pay then I will use him. Did you like him? Did they treat you well? Hope all is well

I'm scheduled for July 28th. I haven't had it yet :)
sorry I misread thought it was June 28th lol

@@nursey 46 Dr Ariel Ortiz did my sleeve on June-22. I had a great experience and everything went smoothly.

@@nursey 46 My pain was well managed by what I was given. My pain level was very low by the time I flew home. If your pain is not under control just talk to them and I'm sure they will address it.

Is dr. Ponce de leon at a1 victory? I was refered to him by a friend but can seem to find much info!

I went with Dr. Ponce de Leon thru Bariatric Pal. He worked out of INT Hospital where he is part owner. Exemplary care and immaculately clean hospital. Hit me up if you have any other questions.

I WENT TO Tijuana, MY SURGON WAS MARIO RAMOS Camelo

I HAD MY SLEEVE SEPT. 26TH 2014

WAS THE BEST DECISION EVER. DOWN 82 POUNDS. STARTING WEIGHT 217 CURRENT WEIGHT 135

I met Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Martinez is who did the surgery on 3rd of July. Dr. Ortiz is a goofball, but knows his medicine. Dr. Martinez did an awesome job, not much bruising and my incisions do not hurt. Of course they were sore at first, but after the 4th day not much. Dr. Martinez is Dr. Ortiz's right hand man. They have a sense of humor, great bedside manner and answers all questions you may have. Trust me...I was just as scared as you are...but I am glad I got it done. Recovery for me has been a little rough because I did not have heartburn before the surgery, but boy did I have it after. That is normal though..!

HI @BackToBeautiful

I am going to see Dr. Garcia on September 10th.

What about you?

I'm also going to a lighter me on September 10th. I just scheduled it today and I'm a little nervous. My surgery is being done by dr.Covarrubias. Anyone else met him before?

@@michelledom, I never heard of Baja med. There are so many to choose from. I chose Dr, Fernando Garcia Govea because I did a lot of research on him to find anything good or bad and only find positive things. His price is great also. I'm paying only $4250.00 plus $500 for my gallbladder to be removed. Next year I'm going to have a full hysterectomy at hospital Angeles in mexico.

I highly recommend Dr Ortiz and Dr Martinez at OCC in TJ.

They were both fantastic, kept the mood light (even though I was ball of nerves) and answered all my questions.

Their staff is amazing to deal with and anytime I've needed anything from getting my surgery notes, to calling the nutritionist they've been there or had the answer in a timely fashion.

My only regret is I didn't do it sooner. I had surgery on November 10 2014 and have lost 160lbs. I look forward to exercise every day because it gives me energy and it doesn't hurt and I'm not winded a few moments in. I rode my bike in the mountains with my husband for four hours yesterday and could have gone longer.

Today, I'd rather have my healthy prepared meals than stop for something on the go. And if I don't have anything, I run into any grocery store and get something that is kind to my body.

I'm feeling so much better and looking forward to having the excess skin taken off with them as well.

Good luck to all!
