Recommended Posts

Hey all. Just checking in. I finally hit onederland on Tuesday. I am 4 mos post op. I am a slow loser but atleast I'm losing. I have a tendency to lose a few pounds then stall a few days and lose again. It's been my cycle since the beginning. I had my 4 mos check with the NUT and she is happy with what I'm doing and all my levels were good, she says my weight loss is right where it should be. Guess I have nothing to complain about. I see the Dr on the 14th and I'm hoping to be down another 5 by that time. Keep your fingers crossed for me please.

Get out! I am so thrilled qnd jealous at the same time. ????

You will get there. It seemed like it took me forever, but then I lost like 6lbs in one week.

figured I would pop in and check up on all of you September Sleevers!

It has been almost 6 months!

wow!

flying by!

I hit onederland a bit ago but seem to be stuck like chuck in the 190's (not complaining mind you but it is frustrating)

so I need to focus and work a bit harder.

I hope that everyone is doing fantastic and feel free to post updates on how you are doing or what you are struggling with! As always the invite to join the September Sleevers Facebook group is open, just send me an instant message!

I try not to think about it! and my clothes sizes are going down and down but not the scale! LOL

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
