Size dropping w/o major weight loss?

Recommended Posts

It's been a bit over a year & I've lost a little over 100 pounds. For the last 4 to 5 months the numbers on the scale aren't significantly changing but my pants sizes are still dropping 1-2 sizes per month. I'm happy I'm still making strides but curiosity has me wondering why it's happening this way & who has similar things happening. Please share...

NSV are everywhere here - those are THE best. Like getting on a rollercoaster and not being squeezed in, getting up off the floor (without help) & clipping your own toenails! I just moved (somewhat) and I am throwing away my clothes that are starting to look a little big :D

I have stuff I've never worn that's gotten too large for me to wear that I guess I'll try & sale. Yes, love the benefits of being able to get around quicker or without as much of a hassle as before. The simplest things we'd lost the ability to achieve are now within our eye sight. I've had a pot belly for so long it's been a reliable ritual to try moving around it but the joy of moving past it has gotten easier.

I'm 9 months post-op and sitting stuck at an 85 lb. loss. The plateau has lasted two months and I'm about over it . . . BUT, pants are fitting better and my waist is coming back and my hair has stopped falling out in chunks. I think my body just had to sit here for a while. I'm trying not to be discouraged . . .but I'm not seeing the 1-2 size pant drop you are seeing! Congrats--that's progress!

I'm 17 months out and that happened to me early on. Between 6 and 10 weeks Postop I actually gained 3 pounds, but lost a whole pant size. I passed goal and my weight stabilized about 9 months ago and I've dropped 1 pant size since then.

I'm going through this now. I am 7 months post op& have only lost 60 lbs.

However, the last two months I've lost 3 pounds but I went down a dress size. Weird but I'll take it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
