I had gastric bypass 12/30/14 and had a lot of completions such as a LEAK. I still have my feeding tube and a drain. My leak is very small as of 5/9/15. My question is I am worried I maybe pregnant and with me still healing could it make me have a miscarriage, due to not getting all the nutrition I need. My stupidity for not being more careful since I am still healing. I haven't talked to my Dr yet just waiting a little longer to be for sure.

Starting weight 297, Current 199

From what I've read, you're probably more at risk for having a small baby than a miscarriage. The tiny new embryo doesn't need much to grow on. I was horribly nauseated for both my pregnancies and didn't eat well as a result, and the kiddos were fine. BUT, you need to get to your OB and your surgeon ASAP and do whatever you can to get the nutrition you need for a growing little one. I wish you good luck.

P.S. There are some pregnancy tests that can tell if you are pregnant 6 days before your period is due, you might want to run out and grab one.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
