Is everyone here required to do a liquid diet? My doctor is not requiring it for some reason.

Hello everyone, my surgery date is June 5th CW 212, CH 5'2 goal weight my surgeon predicts 145-150 which is my size about 10years ago before I becase preganant with my daughter. I have been looking back thinking how great I felt with that weight (145).

We will see and best of luck to everyone!!

I'm June 9th! Highest Weight was 260 and I'm down to about 235. I'm hoping to lose another 5 before surgery.

My doctor said an ideal goal weight would be 140-ish. I'd be happy just to get under 200, haha :)

I hear ya, I am sure I would be thrilled with 150. The lowest I ever got on a diet was 157, so I definitely want to be below that.

Some do some don't. Some surgeons want the liver to shrink smaller so they can see the pouch better.

@@carebear42, I am not required to do a liquid diet, just low fat/carb, high Protein for 10 days to shrink my liver. I am pretty sure I would die on a liquid diet :-)

I'm having a sleeve on June 1. Weight 227 ht 5'4". I have been on my liquid diet for 5 days now. ????

I am June 8! Very excited! Two weeks tomorrow also a little nervous. I am having a revision band to bypass. I cannot wait to start my weight loss journey.I am in Texas Corpus Christi to be exact. Any Texans here? Good luck to all June surgerys!

I'm June 1st 5"1 about 240 now. I just want to get into the "normal" BMI which for me is 132 If I can keep it there or below I'll be happy! I really wish I knew what size jeans that would be?

I am not nervous yet, but I wonder what the night before is going to be like. I can imagine I will get little to no sleep.

This was my last full weekend of freedom (before my pre-op diet), so we did go out to eat quite a bit, just hitting up those favorites one last time :-)

Yippie more June dates :) I am also scheduled for June 9th. May 27th is my last appointment,,,I think I will be put on Protein shakes then.......... I have a severe bleeding disorder so they have been giving me platelet tranfusions weekly to prepare me for June 9th.................... I am barely 5''3..........so I am not sure about a goal weight.....
