Yes from a 9WW because my feet would swell real bad, to an 8 or 81/2M depending on the shoe.

I went from an 8W to a regular width in a 7 and sometimes a 6 1/2 depending on the brand of sneaker!

At my heaviest, 290, I wore a 9.5-10 depending on the type of shoes. I'm down 87 pounds and now 8.0-8.5. I had to get rid of ALL of my shoes and get new ones (oh the horrors)!! My feet never looked big to me either. But I carry my weight proportionally so I've lost everywhere.

I'm down about a half size and my feet are narrower. For example he first time in a long time I'm in regular width shoes.

Oh joy! I am a women's size 11, pushing out to 11 1/2. Finding shoes is near impossible. If I could lose a size, that would be so fabulous!

I think I noticed it after about 8 months.

I went from a 9 1/2 to an 8 - 81/2 depending on brand.

It makes sense, you lose the Water, swelling and fat.

I can't wait! I used to be a size 7 when I was about 16. Now I'm an 8.5.

I no longer need a wide. Thank you lord! Unfortunately, I'm still a size 11. I got to that size by the time I had my third child. I used to be a 10W. But no worries, I've been able to find some great shoes and can't seen to stop buying shoes, some I may never wear!

Oh my goodness I had no idea this could happen! I mean it makes sense, but I am so excited about this! Size 11 to 11 1/2 (which they don't really make). Would be thrilled to be able to wear a 10! So many more options in a 10.... Happy dance! One more reason to look forward to this surgery!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
